Moderate pace.  Felt like poo for the first 10 miles, then felt decent for the last 2.5.  Probably because I was on my feet for 6 hours at work.  Seems like usually I get out before work, so maybe that's why.

Posted a review of the Green Canyon single track and a couple of other things on my blogspot running blog for anyone interested.

nice job today. that "time on your feet" outside of running can be your secret weapon in endurance racing. at least that's what i think...

Hopefully you're right. Especially since I just scouted my competition for Logan Peak and found out that Seth Wold is running it. I can't just rely on my last-5k leg speed with him around. haha. I think that run felt about the same as I usually feel at work after my run. Same scenario today. It's just easier to fake it at work. :)

No worries, man. Seth isn't in great shape- 2:41 Ogden. Plus you've got the experience on the trails. If I can beat Corbin Talley (14:XX 5k-er), you can beat Seth. Confidence, my friend, confidence. Only Loganites are allowed to win this race.

i agree with jon -- you have the experience. good luck!

This kind of race doesn't suit Seth. He has the PR's but that doesn't mean squat on this course! Go Joe!

From Predog on Wed, Jun 15, 2011 at 23:38:16 from 24.10.142.244

Thanks for the pep talk, guys. :) I still think I could beat him, knowing exactly what I'm up against and being in probably the best shape I've ever been in. It's just a matter of running a smart race. Not worried, but anticipating.
