8 easy today.  The last week or so has been absolutely crazy with studying for my finals which are this week and stuff.  This week actually will be a little less hectic.  I will try to remember what runs I did last week but it was kind of hit and miss.  Today I just had an hour so I did a quick 8 and called it good.  Then it was back to ex. secretary stuff and studying for my chemistry final which I really need to do good on.  The snow was nice though...for some reason I have always enjoyed running in the snow.  maybe it's just because it's such a novelty for us southern runners.  haha

Did a half mile warmup down to the track and met up with Scott Ensign and another guy...can't remember the name for some reason...I raced him at First Dam, but I'm having a brain Please follow Fast Running Blog policy regarding vulgar language ..too many oxidation state rules I guess in there so no room for names.  But we decided to do 4 mile repeats at 5:30.  The first one we went too fast on and did 5:13 and after that it really sucked because 1) I haven't done a real speed workout for months, and 2) I made the mistake of eating 2 huge bowls of cereal like 45 minutes before we started the workout, so long story short I would get about 2 laps down and then start feeling like I was gonna puke...so it turned into an 800m repeat workout after that first mile.  I was pretty consistent on them though...all between 2:40 and 2:45.  Slow, but consistent and I suppose that is to be expected for the first speed workout in so long.  2.5 mile cooldown.  going to probably hit another couple easy miles tonight if I can find the time.  Chemistry final tomorrow.

8 miles in the good ol' Hurricane wind.  Didn't get much running in the last couple of weeks because of finals.  Studying my brains out.  Literally.  haha.  But I hope to get in some good quantities of running the rest of the month while I'm on break down here where it's warm.

12 miles in a snowstorm.   This is the first time I have ever seen it snow 2 days in a row down here!  crazy.  Logan is going to be a pile of the stuff when I get back.  Anyway, good run today.  felt a little tired but okay considering the last 2 weeks have not been good to my running habits.

10.5 Bench Lake loop.  Still cold today...no snow though.  Got some sweet pictures today of a white southern Utah.  Nothing special about the run.

9 miles.  Still cold for Hurricane.  Got done just as snowflakes started to fall again.  I have never ever ever seen this much snow down here...there is still a couple inches on the ground in a lot of places.  More to come tonight.  I think we've got more snow in the past 3-4 days than we get in a typical year down here.  It's nuts.

11 miles in the snow again.  This is crazy.  Tried out my new running gloves and head warmer/facemask thingy  that I got for my birthday...they were both very nice.  : )

My left hammy has felt really tight and stressed the last week or so so I gave it a rest today and just hit 5 easy.  Cinder Knoll loop.  Felt good other than that.  Hopefully it loosens up and heals in a couple of days.  Sorry I haven't been a very faithful blogger lately everyone...the holidays have been hectic and even though I've been running  there's no guarantee that I get time to blog it.  But hopefully now that things are slowing down I will be more consistent.
